REHASHED (click for chictopia)
When: March 31, 2012 and April 6, 2012
What:
Blouse; vintage
Skirt; Forever 21
Jacket; Forever 21
Wedges; Target
Bag; vintage
All jewelry; vintage
I’m really not afraid to throw together the same outfit a second time if I love it enough! And this combination fits the bill. I usually don’t mix patterns, but on a whim I paired a new vintage blouse with this lovely, swingy skirt and was surprised by how much I liked it.
The second time around, which I didn’t photograph, I added vintage-styled seamed stockings from the brilliant What Katie Did, as well as more comfortable flats for walking around the hills of UC Berkeley.

MARCH IS FOR MARY MARGARET (click for chictopia)
When: March 30, 2012
What:
Blouse; Target
Sweater; Banana Republic
Trousers; H&M
Flats; Urban Outfitters (gift from my roommate)
As I watch more and more of Once Upon A Time (that glorious show!), I find myself drooling incessantly over Mary Margaret’s outfits in Storybrooke. She always looks so chic, elegant, and pulled together! Her style is the perfect combination: ladylike yet relaxed. She looks appropriately dressed for every occasion, and I’ve been inspired. March has been the month to emulate Mary Margaret! And here’s one of my attempts.
(Also, please ignore my derpy face!)
A GRAY MONDAY (click for chictopia)
When: February 6, 2012
What:
Sweater and undershirt; Old Navy
Pants; H&M
Flats; Urban Outfitters
Sometimes you just feel like a little (or a lot) gray! The color is one of my favorites to work into a winter wardrobe, especially when the weather in NorCal decides to be pretty kind, meaning I can wear my gray pedal pushers! To break up the monotony, I threw in some fun Urban Outfitters ballet flats – a gift from my roommate! I think they’re especially lovely because of the subtle pointed toe. How chic!

I wore this out and about getting supplies for my return to Berkeley for the spring semester. Even though it’s nothing glamorous, I just had to post because of this shirt - it’s one of my absolute favourites! Win win, Slytherin!
I’m also wearing a vintage coral ring passed down to me from my mother, and a vintage type-writer letter necklace with my initials from my grandmother. It’s all about the legacies!
NO MORE HIGH SCHOOL (click for chictopia)
When: June 03, 2011
What:
Dress; Forever 21
Jacket; vintage
Hat; vintage
Heels; Steve Madden
Bag; Coach
I wore this for my OFFICIAL last day of high school.. It was the best! I call these shoes “ankle breakers” because they’re so high and open – you really have to use your muscles to stay steady. Nevertheless, they’re gorgeous and the workout of balancing is good for my legs for ballet, I’m sure! I know I’ve used this purse in an outfit before, but it’s a favourite of mine. Who would have thought that a cream and beige purse would match with LITERALLY everything? The jacket was mine when I was a kid – it used to be full-sized and hit my hip – and the hat is one that my grandmother gave me (from the ‘50s). Now that high school is finally over, I’ll be off to Berkeley (shh, don’t tell them I’m wearing Stanford red)!
Just between us, I’ll probably be wearing this dress and jacket for the Fourth of July, too ;) I’m not afraid to repeat!

What:
Shirt; H&M
Skirt; Target
Wedges; Franco Sarto
Purse; LineaR
In celebration of my last full day of high school, I donned my springiest outfit and blew dust off of the wedges that I haven’t worn since last summer. My days are looking pretty bright!

Yesterday I had an important interview for a scholarship award at my new school – University of California, Berkeley! I’m extremely proud to be accepted and extremely fortunate to be chosen for the finalist round of the award. I decided to display my pride and happiness with the Cal colors. I hope it payed off because I felt like my interview went well!
GO BEARS!

LACMA, Part Deux (click for chictopia)
When: January 29, 2011
What:
Sweater; Zara
Shorts; Morphine Generation
Shoes; H&M
Belt; vintage Anne Klein
Jewellery; (cuff and earrings) Tiffany & Co., (necklace) handmade
I wore this on my second trip to the LACMA museum. Unfortunately, I don’t have a photo of the back – the sweater has a sweet V-neck with a big bow on it! But to make up for that, you can see some of the art behind me :) It was absolutely lovely, and upon walking out of the Fashioning Fashion exhibit, an elderly woman stopped my friend and I, saying, “You two look better than those, would you mind if I took your photo?” and gushed about our style. It made my day!

Seventeen Again
When: January 9, 2011
What:
Shirt; H&M
Shorts; Morphine Generation
Tights; Betsey Johnson
Coat; Forever 21
Boots; Dolce Vita by Target
Rings, belt, bag; Vintage (thanks, Mum!)
I wore this to a private movie screening of the upcoming film, Beastly. In order to qualify, I had to be seventeen, so I had some fun pretending to be a year younger the entire day! I don’t look that old as it is, and I don’t think anyone suspected anything, so I got to see a great film, look cute, and be comfortable doing it!
